BMO Investorline like many of the online discount brokerages in Canada offer a tiered trading commission structure based on frequency of trades and or total portfolio value. For the average Canadian with assets below $100K the normal commission charge for a trade is $29.00 Should you place more than 30 trades in a quarter, your trade commission will drop to $9.95 flat rate. Clients with assets at BMO above $100K automatically qualify for the $9.95 trade commissions.
